Pig Iron.
Obtaining
Refined Iron Bloom
|
|
Wrought Iron is a Tier 3 metal obtained by refining an Iron Bloom that has been created in a Bloomery, and working the resulting refined bloom in an Anvil or melting it in a Crucible.
Usage
Smithing
Liquid wrought iron can be poured into a Ceramic Mold to make unshaped wrought iron. It takes 100 units of wrought iron to completely fill an empty Ceramic Mold (100% Bloom). Once the unshaped wrought iron is no longer liquid temperature, it can be placed in the crafting grid to create a wrought iron ingot. The empty mold will be returned to the inventory; although there is a chance of it breaking and being lost.
Creating an ingot will only work if the metal is in a solid state. The temperature will be carried over from the unshaped ingot temperature.

Crafting
Anvil
Wrought Iron Double Ingots can be used to make an Anvil:
Blast Furnace
Blast Furnaces can be crafted using eight Wrought Iron Double Sheets, and a Crucible.
Minecart
Minecarts can be crafted using five Wrought Iron Sheets. Note: This is a temporary recipe and may be changed or removed in future versions.
Minecart Rail
Minecart rails can be crafted using four Wrought Iron Ingots and two Sticks. Note: This is a temporary recipe and may be changed or removed in future versions.
Flint & Steel
Flint & Steel can be crafted using a Wrought Iron Ingot, and Flint.
Shears
Shears can be crafted using two Wrought Iron Knife Blades.
