Scythe Uses
The scythe instantly harvests leaves from trees and straw from grass in a small radius (3x3x3) around the leaf/grass block upon which it is used.
Harvested leaves drop saplings and sticks at a slightly reduced rate (4%) compared to manual harvesting (6%).
Crafting Scythes
Metal Scythe
Metal Scythes can only be made from tool metals. They can be cast in ceramic molds, or worked on a metal anvil.
Casting
- Main article: Casting
As of Build 77, Bismuth Bronze, Black Bronze, Bronze, and Copper Scythes can be cast using a Vessel and a Ceramic Mold instead of working on an anvil.
Once you have your Unshaped Copper (or a bronze) you need to make a Ceramic Scythe Mold:

Smithing
- Main article: Working
Scythe Blades can also be crafted by using ingots on an anvil with a hammer. This is the only option for higher tier metals that cannot be cast. The durability depends both on the metal used and the skill of the smith forging the tool.
