Obtaining

Oil lamps are made by working a single ingot of the desired metal type on an anvil. Oil lamps can be made from gold, platinum, rose gold, silver, sterling silver, or blue steel. All lamps except for blue steel can be created on a tier 1 anvil, while the blue steel oil lamp requires a tier 6 anvil.

Usage

Oil lamps that have been lit emit a light level of 15, the brightest possible light level in the game. A lamp that is filled with the full 250 mB of olive oil will burn for 2,000 in-game hours by default. Blue steel lamps filled with lava will burn indefinitely without consuming any fuel. Oil lamps are extinguished by using Rmb.png Right Click on the lit lamp, which will stop the lamp from emitting light, and prevent it from consuming fuel. Using Rmb.png Right Click on an extinguished lamp will relight it.

Fueling

Oil lamps are filled with olive oil by either using the lamp to Rmb.png Right Click on an unsealed barrel/large vessel that contains the liquid, or through the barrel/large vessel's interface. Blue steel oil lamps are filled with lava by using the lamp to on a lava source block. Lamps can be filled with any liquid, but only olive oil can be consumed and burned by the lamp to provide light.

Placement

Oil lamps can only be placed on top of fences, walls, and blocks with a top face that is considered solid. If the block underneath an oil lamp is broken or altered so the top face is no longer solid, the oil lamp will break and drop as an item.

Description
time Options related to time.
oilLampFuelMult 8
This determines how much fuel is used over time from oil lamps. Setting this higher will make fuel last longer. A mult of 1 = 250 hours, 4 = 1000 hours, 8 = 2000 hours. [range: 1 ~ 50]
